HIMSS Iowa Fall 2025 Conference: All In for Health IT

The HIMSS Iowa Chapter is hosting its Fall 2025 Conference: All in for Health IT on November 12-13, highlighting the advancements in healthcare IT in the state of Iowa. Join CloudWave throughout the event in booth #1!

On Wednesday, November 12th at 3:45 pm, Jacob Wheeler, CloudWave’s Director, Solutions Engineering, will present the session, “No Bluffing Allowed: Cybersecurity that Holds Up in Healthcare.” Common cybersecurity controls, policies, and procedures are not fit for purpose in a clinical environment. Throughout his session, Jacob will discuss common pitfalls of adapting standard cybersecurity methods for healthcare provider environments, including medical device security, endpoint detection, and incident response. Attendees will leave with an understanding of:

• Industry cybersecurity buzzwords and what they actually mean for hospitals
• The threat profiles and new malicious actor techniques
• How patient-centric incident response protects their organization
